I've been using my fifteen minutes a day on the layout to rework a couple of yards.
The first yard reworked was Tathra Yard. This out of the way place is quickly turning into a solid destination with the sidings holding up to 16 wagons. The loop is really suited to 7 BCH length wagons and a guards van, so up to four goods train per day are required to shunt the yard.
With the impending work on Junction Yard and the removal of the brewery and McGuffins Industry, a new siding was added for the relocated brewery. This will need a new building, but more on that later.
The Dairy Siding was reversed as well, thanks to the employment of a 3 way point. I had this as a spare back up as I think that I may need to replace one of the old ones soon. Hopefully, this won't need to happen. The siding is also a little longer too.
The brewery will need to be shunted via the quarry siding. I reckon the quarry folks won't mind, especially if they have a few free samples.
I may have added an extra bit of timber to widen and already widened board to accomodate the dairy.
I reckon that's it for this area. The corner behind it was finished years ago. Maybe this is the spot to finish off with scenery now.
Until next time.
